Soft Capsule Production Line

• Introduction:

Soft Encapsulation Machine is the new product made up elaborately designed through combining the technology and characteristics of production by our company in accordance with the requirements of GMP. The entire equipment is in optimized design. The power source adopted for HSR-100 soft encapsulation machine is AC220V of single phase; its operation is simple and easy. The equipment is applicable mainly to small batch production and trial manufacture of soft capsules for labs and scientific research organizations.

• Main Characteristics:

We made abbreviated design according to soft capsule production processing technology; the machine’s function is completed.

The entire equipment is compact structure; owing to the land area occupied by this equipment is only 1 m2

The whole equipment can be removed handily; it is suitable to be used in whatever a lab is.

• Introduction of Processing Technology:           

Material preparation part

Material preparation means the material solution will be packed in the production of soft capsules.

Gelatin melting part

Gelatin melting means the gelatin solution needed in the production of soft capsules, the quality of gelatin solution directly influence the qualified products ratio of soft capsules.

General Processing Technology Data:

1)   Raw Material Preparation Proportion

Gelatin: about 42%, water: about 38%, Glycerin: about 20%, color: quantity needed

2)    Gelatin Melting Temperature:60℃-70℃

3)   Gelatin Melting Time: 1-1.5 hour

4)   Vacuum: -0.08~-0.05MPa (The lower or higher of vacuum is confirmed suitable when the gelatin solution cannot be drawn from gelatin tank to the pipe)

5)    The viscosity of qualified gelatin solution: about 18000 pcs

Capsule making process

Capsule making means the core of the soft capsule production. It is finished by the main machine gelatin film preparation, the inner packed material quantitative feeding. And finally form the soft capsules

General Processing Technology Data:

1)  Wedge Control Temp: 37℃-50℃

2)  The Inner Packed Material Temp:≤40℃

3) Gelatin liquid Temp: 55℃~65℃

4) Shape fixing and drying process

Shape fixing and drying is to put capsule into cages of the dryer to proceed dynamic air drying

5) Capsule cleaning process

Generally, capsules do not need to be washed, because the newest processing technology adopts micro-oil lubrication and the capsules just need to be wiped in the course of shape fixing. If the capsules need to be printed, you should clean the surface, same time polish the capsules.

6) Capsule air drying process

Capsule air drying is to put the capsule onto the tray on the car and air drying by still setting conditions, usually drying time is about 12-16 hours. To make the water content in capsule shell reaches 8%-12%, to guarantee the good appearance and hand feel of soft capsules.

7) Capsule inspection process

Capsule inspection is to select the unqualified shape and sealing capsules, and put the qualified capsules to next process.

8) Inner packed process

This process is to pack the selected qualified soft capsules; the way of packing can be Alu-plastic blister packing and bottling.

9) Outside packing process

Outside packing is to put inner packed products into cartons or boxes, for the storage or transfer to the market.
